The Fates are cackling their bony asses off…

It’s been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they’ve given him have been violent and bloody–which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth. He’s got to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.

Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy’s deal might be, but it’s a good bet that his arrival means the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her.

But it might be the unlikely attraction simmering between her and the golden-eyed, secret-keeping Seth that may prove to be the most dangerous thing of all.

Because history has once again been flipped to repeat.

Book 1 in the new adult paranormal TITAN series, spin-off to the best selling COVENANT series.

This Blonde’s Review:
If you’ve read the Covenant series then you are already familiar with Seth and all of the things he’s done. You’ve also probably loved him anyway and wanted a story that was his. In The Return you get just that.

Seth is serving out his sentence with Apollo and doing everything he’s told. He doesn’t work well with others and hates himself for his part in everything that happened. Then Apollo gives him a new task, to find someone and keep her safe. When he finds her he doesn’t know what to think but he knows he’s drawn to her.

Josie doesn’t know why she draws strange people to her or why this guy is messing with her but she knows she doesn’t want to be involved. She wants to keep her head down and get her degree and help people like her mom. Except soon it becomes apparent that Seth may know what he’s talking about. She agrees to go with him and everything in her life changes.

I really liked Josie, she’s so practical yet is able to use that to accept that there are things she never saw before rather than staying in denial. And she sees Seth in a way no one else can. She is able to help him see himself another way and that’s enough to make me love her, even if I didn’t like her for herself. There are so many reasons they shouldn’t be together but they’re drawn together anyway. But the way they are together is hard to resist.

I loved seeing some of the characters from the Covenant series and hope we see more of them in this series. I can’t wait to meet the others like Josie and see what happens next.

If you liked the Covenant series then you’ll enjoy the Titan series as a continuation of that world.
