She’s had it forever. A tiny mark on her hand. No big deal, right? But when Tori discovers that her ordinary freckle is really some kind of microscopic tattoo, she doesn’t know what to think, especially after meeting Eric, a guy she feels strangely connected to–and not just because he has a mark too. All too soon, Tori and Eric realize that their marks are only the first clue to a mystery that will change everything. And with each new discovery, Tori finds herself pulled deeper and deeper into a world she could never have imagined.

This Blonde’s Review:
First thing I have to say is I really hope there is a sequel! I really enjoyed this book. We meet Tori, an ordinary girl. After she notices her freckle is really a tiny tattoo strange things start to happen to her. She meets Eric and  her life changes forever. She is shown things she never imagined & taken to a world she never dreamed existed.

I really liked Tori, Eric, and their friends. They were People with the same uncertainties & faults. They trust each others strengths & use them to work towards answers. Many things in the book came together unrealistically easily which moved the book along a little fast. There could have been a few more practical or ‘real life’ obstacles in their path. That is not saying there wasn’t conflict or issues to overcome, both internal & external, on their search for the truth. The author also explains why these things were so easy to arrange so that the story still fits. The end felt a little abrupt to me, which is why I immediately checked online for a sequel. There is so much more to this story! They found the answers so where do they go from there?

I would not hesitate to read a sequel if I found out there was one.  This book was much more than I expected it to be & had a very interesting concept. This book is not entirely real, so you do have to have be open to the possibilities of new worlds. If you only like stories that are realistic you may want to pass on this book. The tattoos are just the beginning. If you’re intrigued by the description don’t hesitate to pick it up. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
